Storage bench, black walnut and ash

7' long storage bench with three interior compartments. Each section has its own sliding tray that can be removed or rearranged as needed. All three trays can also fit into one partition. The legs are removable and bolt on from the inside. Torsion hinges allow the lids to hold open at any angle. The textured front was an idea I had for a drawer face a while back that I never used. I started with that idea and designed the rest of the piece around it. The vertical lines are repeated by the veneer and the legs that run the full height of the case. An 8 degree bevel is echoed by the ends of the feet, the outside edges of the lids, the slope of the dovetails, and the ends of the cleats.
